Our Process

We want the process of you getting a stairlift to be as easy, straightforward and hassle-free as possible. In order to do this, we offer complete transparency, clarity and guidance every step of the way. From your very first point of contact with us to our expert aftercare service, we’re always just a phone call away.

Getting a stairlift may seem long and complicated but with Berkshire Stairlifts, it’s just a simple three-step process.

Inspection survey

If you’re thinking about purchasing a stairlift, give us a call today and we will arrange a time that’s convenient for us to come around and carry out a free, no obligation inspection survey.

Don’t worry, this isn’t a sales pitch. We pride ourselves on the fact that our team isn’t pushy, they won’t take up hours of your time and you are under no obligation to purchase from us even after we have completed the survey.

The survey is simply to assess what type of stairlift will work best in your home as well as answer any questions you may have. It will also allow us to determine what type of rail you will need and whether or not any preparatory work will be required.

Once we have all the information we need, we will be able to provide you with a list of stairlift options as well as any additional features and upholsteries you may require.

We then leave you alone for as long as you need to decide whether you would like to go ahead or not. If you decide to proceed, we will put your order into production and find a suitable date to install your stairlift.

Installation

As part of your installation, you will be shown how to use all of the features of your stairlift. We will stay until you’re 100% confident that you can safely use your new product.

Aftercare

3We try to make sure that all of our customers are no more than about an hours drive from us. This means that should you ever have any issues with your stairlift, we can pop around and fix it promptly.

In the rare event that your stairlift breaks down, one of our expert engineers will be around to fix it. We may even be able to help you fix the problem over the phone but if not, we’re nearby and we’ll be with you as soon as possible.

We don’t ever turn our phones off so please don’t worry if your emergency is out of normal hours. We’re here for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There’s a fixed fee of just £69 for the first 45 minutes of the engineer’s time, which is 50% less than major manufacturers charge.

We also offer a no fix, no fee policy for your peace of mind. This means that if for whatever reason your stairlift cannot be repaired, you won’t be charged the callout fee.

To keep your Stairlift running smoothly and trouble-free, it’s vital to have it serviced once a year. Why not contact us and arrange for one of our experienced stairlift technicians to visit at a time to suit you? They will thoroughly inspect your Stairlift installation and carry out any required work to ensure that it continues to work perfectly. Our Stairlift services are available throughout Berkshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and some parts of Hampshire.
